#17 Get Your Hands Dirty
The mantra that we tell to university students and new grads
As you may already know, I’m kind of a co-founder of a social entrepreneurship project named Sıfırdan Globale (SG).
One of our main goals at SG is to enable university students and new grads to join the digital workforce by either being entrepreneurs or a part of entrepreneurial teams.
When Levent (the founder of SG) got a couple of hundred university students on his free online marketing courses, he tried to push the students to “get their hands dirty”: be it as simple as starting an Instagram account around a topic and gaining a meaningful engagement.
We had a group of channels on our Discord server for the courses to encourage students 👇
And this push seems to be working: Umutcan joined the SG team, who was one of the students. And we had so many other students that cohort, supporting SG with their efforts from time to time.
The Z generation or the Digital Natives are not lazy, they just need the right motivation.
